Siddharth VARMA

Siddharth Varma is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Roorkee (now Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) and an M Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and a Ph D from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, in the area of Supply Chain Management.

Prior to stepping into academics, Dr Varma has had 13 years of experience in the industry, most of which has been with the downstream petroleum industry, in the functions of projects, procurement and logistics. He has been an Associate Professor in Operations Management at Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad for more than four years and also a visiting faculty at the Department of Management Studies, IIT, Roorkee. Later, he took up the position as Director (NCR Centre) of the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies and also held the position of Vice President (Academic Administration) in the University. He is currently a Professor in the area of Operations Management and Quantitative Methods at International Management Institute, Delhi. Dr Varma has presented papers in international conferences and published papers in national as well as international journals. His areas of interest include Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Technology Management.
